What is the history of the Lord's Acre?
In addition to weekly tithing, many farmers used to donate the produce or proceeds from one acre of their crop land to their church each year. This practice has evolved into donation of food, crafts and other items to be sold at auction for the benefit of churchs and their local outreach.
